Life can feel heavy, messy, and overwhelming—but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Hi, I am Linda, a Registered Provisional Psychologist. I work with those who think deeply, feel intensely, and often question where they fit in. I know what it is like to feel stuck, misunderstood, and the courage it takes to seek support. Therapy with me is about showing up as you are, unpacking the weight you carry, and finding a way forward that feels true to you. Whether you are navigating neurodivergence, exploring aspects of your identity, or facing emotional or relational challenges, I am here to walk alongside you. I bring a balance of warmth, humour, and directness, honouring your experiences while thoughtfully challenging patterns that may no longer serve you. Clients often share that our work leaves them feeling seen, supported, and more empowered to navigate life’s complexities. If this resonates with you, let’s connect. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.

My Story

I was born in Vietnam and immigrated to Canada with my family as a toddler. As the eldest daughter, I played many roles—translator, caregiver, cultural bridge, and emotional anchor. My parents made tremendous sacrifices, leaving behind everything they knew to create opportunities for our family. With those sacrifices came high expectations, which I worked hard to navigate. At times, I felt the weight of being everything to everyone while trying to find my place in a world that did not always make space for me. Growing up, my interests and personality clashed with traditional gender roles, and I was labelled as a “tomboy.” As a teenager, I questioned the conventional boxes of gender and sexuality, feeling like I did not fit neatly into any of them. Moving away to attend university was a turning point—as I found a supportive community, allowing me to explore and embrace my queer identity. In my late twenties, I was diagnosed with ADHD, which brought another layer of self-understanding. It helped me make sense of my challenges but also brought grief for the years I struggled without the support I needed. Embracing my neurodivergence led me to see my diagnosis not as a deficit, but rather a difference in thinking. This required me to practice self-compassion, prioritize self-care, and learn to work with my brain rather than against it. These experiences, along with my journey in personal therapy, inspired my decision to become a psychologist. Before joining Ko Psychology, I developed my skills and perspective through roles in private practice, non-profit, and community health settings, deepening my understanding of clients’ diverse needs and approaches to therapy. Outside of work, I prioritize staying connected to what inspires and energizes me. Fitness is a big part of my self-care—I love weightlifting, with occasional running, yoga, and golf. I am always exploring new hobbies, whether it entails diving into the latest tech, trying out new activities, or embracing different creative outlets. I enjoy playing video games, trying new cuisines, travelling, and attending festivals. At home, my partner and our dog, Luna bring balance and joy to my life.

My Approach

Therapy with me is relational, collaborative, and deeply personal. I bring my authentic self to our work and encourage you to do the same. Taking a holistic, biopsychosocial approach to mental wellbeing, I consider how your mind, body, relationships, and environment interact to shape your experiences. I strive to provide care that is culturally responsive and neurodiversity-affirming, tailored to your unique needs and experiences. Additionally, I am conversationally fluent in Vietnamese and can offer a language bridge.

I draw from evidence-based approaches, including dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and experiential therapy. DBT offers practical skills and strategies to help you stay present, manage stressors, regulate emotions, and strengthen your relationships. Narrative therapy explores the stories you tell yourself, and how they have shaped your identity, helping us uncover your strength and resilience and co-create new, empowering perspectives. Experiential therapy engages your thoughts, emotions, and body through active, creative, and reflective activities, which can be particularly helpful for those who tend to overthink or intellectualize.
